The Specification
Manual.

A vital instrument for
protecting the client from rogue
builders.
THE SPECIFICATION
MANUAL
As time moves on, the
requirements of the Building Regulations get more complex
and it is now no longer practical to locate all the
written information onto the drawings. CHP has
developed a Specification Manual that accommodates each
project and must be read in conjunction with all of the
drawings. The Specification Manual also includes a
'Preliminaries' section that identifies certain
contractual responsibilities, overall requirements etc.
that is designed to provide a limited safeguard for the
client. The client must ensure that the builder
constructs the extension from both the drawings and the
Specification Manual.
